Enniscorthy Community Allotments Opening by Minister Heather Humphreys

The new sensory garden and geo dome at Enniscorthy Allotments were welcomed into the community this morning with an official opening by Minister Heather Humphreys. The sensory gardens blend learning with fun, making a big difference for special needs and autism. Today was a real nod to the overall Enniscorthy Allotments, a project which would not have happened without the hard work of Chairman Michael Devereux and Councillor Aidan Browne.

This year, there has been a real spotlight on Enniscorthy Allotments as they’re nominated for two big national awards. They’re in the running for a Pride of Place Award and an Excellence in Local Government Award. Projects that really make a difference in our local area – It’s about bringing people together, learning from nature, and making our community a better place to live, play, and grow. Well done folks here’s to more green fingers, more learning, and more awards in the future for Enniscorthy Allotments!
