Beechdale Garden Centre

In the world of business, it is not often that we see a small family enterprise thrive for more than three decades, growing from humble beginnings to becoming a well-known brand in its niche. Beechdale Garden Centre founded 33 years ago in 1990 by Keith Rothwell and his wife Janet is a shining example of such a venture. Today, their son Andrew has joined the family business, creating a legacy that has spanned generations.
Initially, Keith and Janet focused on growing mushrooms for several years before deciding to branch out and establish their garden centre. Keith’s upbringing on the farm surrounding the centre served as a solid foundation for the couple’s horticultural pursuits. The duo’s vision was clear: to provide customers with an unrivalled range of plants that catered to diverse tastes and preferences.
True to their vision, the garden centre has grown into a veritable horticultural haven, boasting a magnificent range. At the heart of this success is a dedicated and passionate team that shares Keith and Janet’s love for plants. Together, they create a unique experience for customers, setting their garden centre apart and fueling its enduring popularity.
A decade ago, the garden centre expanded its premises, adding five acres to its already impressive expanse. Of particular note is their extensive selection of roses, which has garnered the attention of rose aficionados across the country, earning the distinction of having the largest range available.
The sustained success of this family-owned garden centre can be attributed to the unwavering dedication and passion of its founders, their son, and the entire team.
