Introducing a little bit of magic on Slaney Street, Joanne Martin purchased a building on Slaney Street just before Christmas, she rolled up her sleeves and got to work transforming it into both a family home and a fresh new retail space. Her new store ‘Witch Crafts’ is a quirky, independent craft and gift shop full of charm, colour and crafted character. With more than 30 years of craft experience, Joanne has been crocheting since she was a child. Her new shop is a blend of everything she loves…handmade candles, carefully chosen books, crochet, and jewellery that’s playful, unique, and proudly offline. Distinctive, witchy jewellery, designed to give teens and young people something that’s hard to find locally….
For Joanne, Enniscorthy made sense as it was closer to her children’s friends, a rare house-and-shop combo, and a business community that’s welcomed her warmly. “I’ve been blown away by the support,” said Joanne. “Slaney Street and the surrounding streets have been incredible.”
At a time when rising costs are squeezing small businesses everywhere, it’s fantastic to see someone backing themselves….and bring a little positive magic to Enniscorthy in the process. Well done Joanne
